Privacy Policy — DeskForge
Last updated 30 July 2026
DeskForge is a free, ad-supported desk-setup planner operated by the AI Agency. It has no accounts and no sign-up, and it is built to need as little of your data as possible. This page explains, in plain English, exactly what is collected when you use it, who else is involved, and how to exercise your rights.
The short version
We do not ask for your name, your email address, or a password, and we do not build a profile of you. The desk layout you make is kept in your own browser and encoded into the link you share. The only third parties involved are Google (advertising and aggregate analytics) and Amazon (the category links in the gear legend), each of which is described below.
What we collect
Your setup — the gear you place, where you place it, its size and rotation, the desk dimensions and the theme — is created and stored in your browser. Your most recent layout is saved to your device’s local storage so you can close the tab and pick up where you left off; you can clear it at any time through your browser’s site-data settings.
When you plot a spec sheet, that layout is also encoded directly into the resulting share link, which is what makes a shared setup openable by anyone you send it to. If you save a setup, an anonymous copy of that same layout is stored on our servers behind a short random identifier so the link keeps working and the "setups made" counter can be incremented. It contains only the layout and the name you typed on the card — no identifiers about you, and nothing that would let us contact you.
Like every website, our servers process the technical details of a request (IP address, browser user-agent, the page requested, timestamp) in order to deliver the page and to keep the service secure and available. These logs are not used to identify you or to target advertising.
Advertising and cookies
We use Google AdSense to show ads, which is what keeps DeskForge free. Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to serve and measure ads, including the DoubleClick DART cookie, based on your visits to this and other sites.
In regions where consent is required, a Google-certified consent management platform asks you before any advertising or analytics cookie is set, and your choice is respected until you change it. Advertising and analytics storage default to denied until you make that choice. You can opt out of personalised advertising at any time via Google Ads Settings, opt out of third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info/choices, and read how Google uses data from sites that use its services at google.com/policies/technologies/partner-sites.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to count things like how many people opened the builder, plotted a spec sheet, or arrived from a shared link. It tells us whether the product is worth continuing; it is aggregate and is never used to identify an individual visitor. Analytics storage is subject to the same consent choice as advertising, and no analytics cookie is written before you give it.
Affiliate links
The numbered gear legend links to Amazon searches for a generic product category — "ergonomic mesh office chair", for example. They are category searches, not endorsements of a particular brand or model, and following one takes you to Amazon under their own privacy policy. As an Amazon Associate the AI Agency may earn from qualifying purchases, at no extra cost to you.
How long anything is kept
The layout in your browser’s local storage stays until you clear it. A saved setup is kept for as long as its share link is meant to work, so that a link you posted does not break; you can ask us to delete a specific saved setup by sending us its link. Server request logs are short-lived and used only for operating the site.
Children
DeskForge is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, email us and we will delete it.
Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)
If you are in the EEA or the UK, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data, to object to processing, and to data portability, as well as the right to complain to your local supervisory authority. Where we rely on consent — advertising and analytics cookies — you can withdraw it at any time through the consent tool or your browser settings.
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request its deletion, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal information, and we do not knowingly process the personal information of minors for advertising.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes we will update the page and the "last updated" date at the top. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
Contact and data rights
To exercise any of the rights above, to ask us to delete a saved setup, or to ask a privacy question, email auto-ai-agency@quantum-solutions.hr. We respond to verified requests within 30 days.
